Tavira: The Days of Wine

Our hometown of Tavira is making up for time lost during the pandemic by holding festivals and events almost every weekend (and many weekdays) during the summer.  A wine festival was held this weekend next to the river with about 40 wineries from all over Portugal participating.  For eight euros, you received a wine glass and a wristband which entitled you to unlimited samples for that evening.  In addition to wine tastings, we also bought a bottle of wine and enjoyed it, along with some cheese and ham nibbles, with friends on this sultry Portuguese summer evening.
