Ryder Storms the Beach

Debra and I joined a Facebook group of East Algarve dog owners who take a weekly beach walk. This was Ryder's first visit to the beach in Portugal (or anywhere else for that matter) as officially dogs are not allowed on beaches in the summertime. But we soon found out that there are ways around these rules, and moreover, the ban expires in mid-October throughout the country. So off we went to Manta Rota beach, about a 15-minute drive from Tavira.

Monika, the founder and admin for the Facebook group, is a professional photographer and took these pictures of our morning walk.

Ryder made friends with lots of dogs, but he particularly liked Ollie, who chased balls with him.

Looks like there are several "lucky dogs" (in the true sense of the word) where you all are living. Always good to see Ryder whit his new friends. Love you both. .Enjoy
