Life in Europe Goes On

No major events have happened here in the last month or so.  For those who are curious, the war in Ukraine hasn't affected us, other than our being very sad for the Eastern Europeans who have been impacted.  We know several people of Polish descent here in Tavira, and their families are seeing firsthand much of the displacement and desperation of the Ukrainian people.  

Covid is on the wane in Portugal, just as it is in the US.  Being a very vaccinated country, Portugal did not experience high levels of hospitalization or death during the Omicron wave, though cases did skyrocket.  But now, even cases are falling, so the Portuguese government is scheduled to eliminate most of the Covid restrictions/mandates by mid-March.  

We have lots of events scheduled in coming weeks.  We plan to visit France in late March.  And we have US friends visiting in both early April and late April/early May.  So until then, we've gathered a variety of previously unpublished pictures to give you a brief glimpse into our lives in Portugal, nine months into our adventure.  Enjoy!
