On a Friday evening at about 7PM, Mark sliced his finger trying to open a wine bottle.  After calling around a bit, we decided to go to a local medical clinic, Taviclinica, to help get the bleeding stopped.  In under an hour, Mark saw two doctors, got several steri-strips, but needed no stitches.  Total cost 12.50 euros or about $15.

And of course I had to wait outside the clinic, but Mark reports one of the doctors asked, “Knife?” Mark replied “wine bottle.” Doctor said “How’s the wine?” Mark said “I think OK, I broke the bottle pretty far up.” Doctor said, “That’’s the important thing [that the wine be ok].”

Ouch. Left hand grip is going to be touch and go. Love the Ryder pictures and video. Our dog Rudy was kicked by a horse last Monday (Rudy's fault!) and has a broken leg. He's handling it well but poor guy can't get up the stairs. You guys are living the cafe life. The food looks delicious. Thanks for letting us live vicariously.

Poor Rudy. Hope he's better soon. Not playing much golf, so the thumb's not much of an impediment right now.
