Feliz Pascoa!

In the nearby town of Sao Bras de Alportel, they celebrate Easter with flower decorations about the town and a big parade.  The Festival of the Flower Torches has been going on since the 1600s (though this is the first to be held since 2019 due to Covid).  It was originally meant to celebrate a victory over English "pirates" who came to sack the town in 1598.  In the early morning of Easter Sunday, the town's main street is decorated with cut flowers and herbs to make elaborate decorations.
Then after Sunday mass, the parade of flower torches and the "A Aleluia" procession begins!
